We met during our first semester at University of Rhode Island. Ever heard of right person, wrong time? It was love at first sight, but it would be another four years before we decided to go for it!
It just so happens that when we decided to level up our friendship, we did it 14 hours away from each other! David was living in North Carolina and Lauren was living in Massachusetts. Cue the FaceTimes, virtual dates, countless phone calls, and airports. We made it work and David moved to Massachusetts after Lauren finished her graduate program.
During our long-distance dating journey, we took a trip to a treehouse camp in Maryland to spend a relaxing weekend in the woods. We both drove 9 hours each to meet in the middle and it was a trip to remember! Fast forward three years and we decided to return to the same treehouse. David decided to make this trip even more memorable than the last and proposed on the same treehouse porch where we stood three years prior.
