Together is a beautiful place to be!

This sunday started out like any normal sunday. We woke up, got ready for church and went about our day. The only difference, was later that evening, we were going with my cousins on a sleighride to see some Christmas lights. Since I had planned this earlier in the month, I suspected nothing. When we got there, I was completely distracted by all the beautiful and sparkling lights. Little did I know, Cody was nearby sweating as he prepared himself to pop the question. During the sleighride, Cody made sure Chiarra sat between us, so that he could keep his distance from me. He didn’t want me to feel the box in his jacket pocket and did what he could to avoid me. He felt bad and worried that I would get upset from seeing him keep his distance. Although in reality, I was too distracted with the Christmas lights to even realize. At the end of the sleighride, the horses stopped at the “North Pole.” Familes were allowed to warm up by the fire, see the reindeers, talk to Santa and even take pictures. At the North Pole, we lined up to take pictures in front of this whimsical gingerbread house. Being the Filipina that I am, we headed straight to take pictures. To my surprise, Cody had volunteered to be the first of the couples to take pictures. Me, just excited to take pictures in front of this fairytale like gingerbread house, was even more in shock when Cody got down on one knee while taking pictures. I was shocked and honestly thought he was fooling around and joking at first.. until I saw the ring. That was when I knew this was our moment. Then eagerly I said yes. It was a whirlwind of emotions and yet I knew that this was the beginning of our forever.
