Question

Do we need to be fully vaccinated to attend?

Answer

The quick answer is yes. The COVID-19 pandemic has been awful and it has been a struggle to plan this event with this virus impacting so many of us and our loved ones. To ensure that we are hosting the safest event we can, we are requiring our guests to be fully vaccinated. We have medically vulnerable and immunocompromised family members, as well as children who are still too young for the vaccine, that we are prioritizing and protecting with this decision. (Children under the age of 12 who are invited to the wedding are still able to attend!) If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Question

I see the schedule, but can you provide a more detailed breakdown of the events?

Answer

Yes! We know, there's a lot going on this weekend! We understand that you may not be able to attend all events. Here's the general gist: Thursday's ceremony starts at noon and is on the first floor of the hotel. (You don't need to arrive right at noon!) It goes until 5pm and there will be lunch served around 2:00pm. The rest of the evening is up to you -- check out our "Things To Do" page! We will be having Welcome Drinks later that evening around 8pm - join us for a cocktail or two if you can! Friday's ceremony begins with Welcome Drinks at 4:30pm in the West Garden of The Waterview. We will have busses leaving from the Holiday Inn Bridgeport starting at 3:30pm. (It's a roughly 30 minute drive and we want to account for Friday afternoon traffic.) Ceremony starts at 5pm with cocktails (or mocktails!), dinner, and dancing to follow! Busses will bring guests back to the Holiday Inn after the reception and the Bride and Groom will be at the hotel's Martini Bar with late night snacks!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We reserved a room block at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport, CT. You can find more information about how to book your room on our Travel page!

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

The Holiday Inn has a secured parking garage located at the rear of the hotel for a charge of $10.00 plus tax per night. The hotel is also right next to the Bridgeport Train Station, for anyone who is interested in taking the Amtrak or Metro-North trains! If you choose to drive to The Waterview for the Friday ceremony, there is free parking on-site.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Please do not bring any unannounced guests.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If they are listed on your invitation, yes! While we love all of the little ones in our life, we have to limit the amount of kids at our wedding, so please check your invitation. Reach out to us if you have any qestions!

Question

What's the deal with kids and their meals?

Answer

Kids under 14 years old will be given a kids meal! Chicken tenders, french fries, the good stuff ;) For kids over 14, please select an entree for them.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is September 20th. Please return your reply cards with the stamped envelope provided.

Question

Will the ceremonies/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Cambodian Ceremony will take place indoors in the Harbor Ballroom at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport. The American Ceremony will take place outdoors in the West Garden of the Waterview. The reception will be indoors in the West Ballroom.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Business casual for the Cambodian ceremony, formal for the American ceremony!

Question

Do I have to wear Cambodian clothes to the Cambodian Ceremony?

Answer

No, it's not required for all guests to be in traditional Cambodian clothes. You are more than welcome to do so if you'd like! Non-traditional attire will be business casual :)

Question

Are their colors I should avoid for the American Ceremony?

Answer

Please don't wear white :) The Bridesmaids are in wine red, dahlia (pink), rose quartz (lavender), and plum (dark purple). So if you'd like to avoid the colors they are wearing, there you go!

Question

Will there be transportation to the ceremonies?

Answer

The Cambodian Ceremony on Thursday will be taking place in the Harbor Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Bridgeport, where our room block is. Hopefully a short commute from your room! :) We will provide busses to and from the American Ceremony on Friday. Busses leave at 3:30pm to go to the Waterview. Don't be late!
