Every great love story has a beginning… and for Jonel and Lindsay, it all started back in 6th grade. Yes, 6th grade. Back when the biggest problems in life were homework, group projects, and wondering if the teacher was about to give a surprise quiz. But even at that young age, Jonel already knew one thing—he liked Lindsay. So he did what every brave Grade 6 boy would do… He tried to court her. Now Lindsay, being the wise and practical girl that she was, looked at the situation and thought, “Wait… we still have assignments and exams, and we’re not even allowed to go out yet.” So she did the responsible thing. She said no. But Jonel didn’t give up. Because sometimes, the best love stories are the ones that just need a little… time. Fast forward a few years later—Second year in college. By this time, they were older, more mature, and hopefully a little better at life than they were in Grade 6. And Jonel? Well… he was still the same guy who liked Lindsay. So he tried again. This time, Lindsay looked at him and thought, “Okay… he’s still here. Maybe this guy is serious.” And finally… she said yes. From that moment on, their journey together truly began. They finished their studies, started their careers, chased their dreams, and slowly built the life they both wanted. They didn’t rush things. They took their time, growing not just as a couple but also as individuals. And through all the ups and downs, one thing stayed the same— They kept choosing each other. For 12 years, their love continued to grow stronger, deeper, and definitely more patient… especially on Jonel’s side, because technically he waited since 6th grade. And today, after all those years, they are finally here. Ready to start the next chapter of their story. A story that began with a brave 6th Grade boy, a patient love, and a girl who eventually realized… “He’s been the right one all along.” So on June 13, 2026, we celebrate not just a wedding, but a love story 12 years in the making.
