These natural hot springs are tucked away up in the mountains on the edge of a magical aspen forest. They are one of mine and Chaz's favorite places. Go and sooth your muscles after traveling and prepare for the festivities that lay ahead!
Chaz and I went on this hike the first time he came to Colorado and somehow I fell in love with him even more surrounded by the majesty of it. About 1 mile walk on a wide dirt trail leading up to the Fish Creek Falls waterfall. This is a beautiful "hike" and takes only about 10 minutes to drive to from downtown Steamboat.
Take a ride up the gondola to see spectacular panoramic views of the town, valley, and mountains below. You can also rent mountain bikes and bike down the side of Mt. Werner.
The Steamboat Golf Club is a treasure in The Yampa Valley. The 9- hole course borders the Yampa River featuring beautiful views of the valley and Steamboat ski mountain. Free Warm-up cages and a chipping & putting green are available on site. This club is family-oriented and an affordable option to enjoy a round of golf in the valley. Typically playing in 2 hours or less.
The Yampa River runs right through Steamboat Springs. There a walking and biking path that parallels the river with many scenic look outs and beautiful spots to take in, especially in the peak of fall when the aspen trees are glowing! This is a beautiful free activity to take advantage of while you are in Steamboat.
