Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unless they were included on the invitation you received, anyone under 21 is not included in our guest count. We know that finding childcare can be difficult, and we thank you in advance for your understanding.

What should I wear?

Answer

The ceremony will be taking place by the water outside, so we suggest bringing a layer in addition to your garden party or cocktail attire and heels that won’t sink in the lawn if you choose to wear heels. Please stay away from colors that are traditionally reserved for the bride (white, cream, ivory, etc.).

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking for both. The House of the 7 Gables has their own lot that will be accessible, and the Hawthorne has limited parking behind the hotel. In addition to both of those options, there is a parking garage down the street from the Hawthorne.

Question

What if I get to cocktail hour early?

Answer

If you arrive at the Hawthorne before Cocktail Hour at 6:00 pm, you are welcome to hang out in the lobby or grab a drink in the Tavern before the doors to Nathaniel's opne.

Open bar?

Answer

We will have an open bar of beer, wine, and two signature drinks during cocktail hour (6-7), then the bar will be a cash bar for the rest of the night.
