We knew the rest was history the night of Taylor's surprise birthday party with some of our closest high school friends. I brought her outside to have a talk with her under the starlit sky and began pushing her on the rope swing. We talked about how much I truly admired her as a person, more than "just friends." She quietly listened as I whispered into her ear, "Taylor will you be more than a friend to me?"
Christmas morning Chase gave me my Christmas gift which was a two-night stay at our favorite resort in Palm Springs. Of course I was shocked and so excited, the desert makes us the most happy!!! He told me we would be going for New Years and our 7 year dating anniversary, with a couple of nice dinners mixed in, champagne filled nights, and of course a trip to Joshua Tree National Park for some hikes (our absolute FAVE!). Fast forward to New Years day, we decided to go for a little drive to Joshua Tree National park. While driving through the park Chase seemed overly nervous for what I thought was going to be a hike hahaha. He proceeded to pull off of the main road and tell me "babe I think we should take some photos of us with that scenic background and the cool rock formation behind us." He unpacked the tripod, my camera, and started walking toward this remote rock formation. Once we made it to the picture perfect location, Chase set up the tripod and began just taking a few photos of me. He then told me he was going to join me in the next series of timed photos he set the camera for. When he ran over to where I was standing to take the couple photo, he set the camera into video mode and began to get down on one knee. Engaged in Joshua Tree on our 7th year of dating one another followed by dinner in the National park down a long desert dirt road. Cheers to finding one another and making it forever. We can't wait to share the most special day in our relationship so far with you ALL!!! XOXO Taylor & Chase
