Ben and Chaya met at TSU Homecoming in 2019. Chaya doesn’t remember seeing him much (classic), but Ben definitely remembers noticing her. Apparently, Chaya made quite the impression! Afterward, they followed each other on Instagram and casually chatted here and there. Then came the daily phone calls from Ben—almost every day. But even then, Chaya wasn’t sure what she thought about being in a relationship. Fast forward to 2020 when COVID hit and everything changed. Chaya decided she wanted a dog and stumbled upon an Instagram page for a rescue in Nashville. Who would’ve thought? Chaya reached out to Ben, asking him to help her investigate and make sure the page was legit. It turned out to be real, and she found her Louie in Nashville. Ben, being the awesome guy he is, took Louie in until Chaya could make it out. So, Chaya took a trip to Nashville, and Ben, ever the gentleman, asked her out on a date. He opened doors, played a song on the piano for her—basically set the bar for every other date she’d ever have. It was hands down the best date she’d ever been on. After that, Chaya left Nashville thinking, “Okay, I’m into him.” A month later, Ben flew to LA, met her family (who, of course, thought he was a good guy), and then found the most romantic way to ask Chaya to be his girlfriend. She said yes, and now here they are—engaged with two kids and Louie.
