We met the modern way — on Hinge, a dating app — shortly after Lucas moved from Ohio to Dallas to start his plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern. Andrea, a lifelong Dallas girl, had no idea that swiping right would lead to so much more. Our first date was at Legacy Hall, where she showed up fashionably 30 minutes late (oops), and thankfully, Lucas was patient enough to wait. By the end of the night, her cheeks actually hurt from laughing so hard together — and even though their first kiss was hilariously awkward (Lucas went for it, she wasn’t ready!), they both left knowing something special had started. Lucas officially asked Andrea to be his girlfriend on June 25, 2021, and life has been an adventure ever since. They LOVE to travel — whether it’s exploring a new country or road-tripping to another U.S. national park (they’re on a mission to visit them all!). In June 2024, Lucas proposed in beautiful Belize, and Andrea said yes to forever. Together, they’re building a life rooted in compassion, ambition, and connection. Lucas plans to complete a fellowship and specialize as a pediatric craniofacial plastic surgeon, while Andrea is on track to graduate with a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and pursue being a professional counselor. Now they live together in the city of Dallas with their furbaby Tex, soaking in every moment and counting down the days until they say “I do” in Lake Como!
