We first met at Burger King many, many years ago in 2018. At the time I was an assistant manager, and my general manager told me to handle an interview for her (she planned to hire the candidate anyways). That candidate was none other than Gabriel Chavez. I did the interview, told him he had the job, and that was it. I was in school at the time he was hired, so I never really got to know him for the first year. After I graduated, my schedule opened up, and I finally got to work with him. I always thought he was so cute. I would look at the schedule and plan to look my best when I worked with him and was a bit disappointed whenever he was sent home early. Eventually, for the next 6 months, I got to work more frequently with him. I was always so bad at reading flirty remarks, so I was never sure if Gabe felt the same way when we talked. Then one day, my suspicions were confirmed. I was making a frappe for a customer, and he came over and asked, 'So what kind of movies do you like?'. My response, 'I like action and adventure, but anything is fine.' He responded, 'I'd love to take you out to one someday.' For there, we started texting, playing the mobile cup pong and pool games, hanging out all the time, and falling in love. He asked sometime after to become boyfriend-girlfriend, and everything else followed after. We eventually moved in together, got better jobs and have been each other's rock through thick and thin in our journey through life as partners. After 5 years and 1 day together, we got engaged June 12th, 2025. We are beyond excited to marry one another and take the next step in our path through life as husband and wife ♥
