Welcome to our Wedding!

August 2015 - Taylor started at Manchester University. During her first week, she joined the Manchester University Catholic Club where she met Sam. She was drawn to his incredible kindness and quickly started crushing. Sam remembers this experience a little differently. He walked into the meeting thinking, "Maybe I'll meet my wife today", but left thinking, "I guess she wasn't there tonight". Little did we both know it would only be 8 short years until "I DO!" August 2017 through October 2019 - We remained friends but each on a different path of life. Some people thought Taylor was crazy to like a guy for going on four years but something inside her, kept saying just wait, be patient, and enjoy these tiny moments. She now confidently says that feeling was God pushing each of us to become our best selves and be patient. November 2019 - Taylor decided to pray a 9 day St Anne Novena. At the end, she would either tell Sam her true feelings or move on for good. On November 15, 2019, (opening day of deer season as remembered by Sam) Sam beat Taylor to the punch and asked her out on a date to church and cracker barrel. Sam remembers this process vividly. He felt a nudge from the holy spirit while she was praying the Novena and decided to trust it. January 2020 - Sam went to Guatemala on a pharmacy rotation but they kept in touch. Sam would often call Taylor every week when he went to a town with service. In February 2020, Sam took Taylor to dinner and got her flowers, then asked her to "officially" start dating him. June 2020 - Sam began his residency in Billings, MT. He struggled to be away from Taylor for that long, but they did anything possible to stay close despite the distance. They had Yahtzee dates on zoom, wrote letters to each other, sent postcards, and visited when they could. Sam loved Montana, but knew there was a big part of his life missing without seeing Taylor everyday. He often says, "Montana is beautiful in every way imaginable, but means nothing if you don't have your person there to enjoy it with." After finishing his residency, he knew he needed to move back to be closer to friends, family, and Taylor. July 2021 - Sam landed a job in Lafayette which was conveniently the same city that Taylor matched for residency. People often assume that he followed her to Lafayette, but that is actually just how everything worked out. God had a plan for them and it was coming together more and more everyday. July 23, 2022, Sam planned a wonderful weekend to "celebrate his nephews birthday" or so Taylor thought. After pacing around the room high on nerves and excitement, Sam took Taylor down to a beautiful windowed walkway at Fair Oaks Farms, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. Through absolute shock, excitement, and quite a few ugly tears, Taylor said Yes! We have spent the last three years growing together. We have had good days and bad days but at the end of each day we would always become stronger in our faith, relationship, and LOVE. November 11th 2023.....
