Believe it or not, we knew of each other in our senior year of high school but never crossed each other's path in 2004. Six years later, E-Jay reached out to Chat on Facebook and asked for her phone number. The plan was to go out with a couple of friends to Cadillac Ranch that night, but Chat knew that she would not meet the age requirement to enter the restaurant after a certain hour. We decided to meet up at E-Jay’s apartment to figure out a plan and ended up talking for hours that brought out this feeling of kinetic energy between the both of us. Unfortunately, we had to cut our conversation short because Chat’s friend needed to get dropped off for a party but, we didn’t skip a beat. We picked back up after a few texts and decided to go to Denny’s. Since that night, we have been inseparable.

We went on a Photobomb Scavenger Hunt that consisted of visiting places that inspired our journey to love. The scavenger hunt ended at the national harbor, where we picked up dinner and headed home. Meanwhile, there was a music video release party scheduled through zoom. To Chat’s surprise, she had no clue what was to come next. The music video was an intro that would lead to the eternal knee drop. E-Jay asked Chat to marry him. She turned her head trying not to cry and return with a resounding YES!
