God blessed us by putting us in the same Spanish class in college. I had the brains and he had the charm. Mama always told me not to let a man use me but I sure did give him the answers. One of the best answers was saying “Yes” to being his wife.
It started off with something every women loves to hear, “Let’s go shopping!”. Little did she know she was picking out her outfit for the proposal. After hitting the outlet, I told her let’s go get food. Of course Chass will go anywhere dealing with food. I took her to the Oceanaire Seafood Room and she ordered her favorite dish. We drove home to an empty driveway, but a home full of loved ones. As I unlocked the door that’s all you hear is “Oooo Lord!” As she entered, she was gifted with a bouquet of flowers for all the years I’ve loved her given by family and friends. She collected her flowers and walked into a home full of smiles and warmth. As she noticed her family, she also noticed the large, bright “MARRY ME” letters. I then kneeled and grabbed her hand. I called her by her first name so she knew it was real. I asked her to marry me and she said “Of course”.
