Anna and Jordan first crossed paths freshman year in Calculus I at Wichita State University— just two 18 year-old engineering students trying to survive 8 a.m. derivatives. Fast-forward to the summer before junior year, when God (and the engineering department) placed them together again in Statics—a truly terrible class, but the perfect setting for something wonderful. Library study sessions eventually led to their first date at a little ramen spot in the sweltering summer heat. One thing led to another, and by July 4, 2021, they officially became a pair—fireworks and all. From tackling tough classes to building their careers as engineers in the Air Capital of the World, they’ve been inseparable ever since. Anna majored in Biomedical Engineering and Jordan majored in Mechanical Engineering, and to this day they still playfully debate who chose the better degree (and who is the better engineer). What began as two classmates struggling through Calc I has grown into a lifelong love story. And in the sweetest full-circle moment, Jordan even designed and hand-made Anna’s engagement ring—a true testament to his love, craft, and devotion.
