At Last!

Our story is far from picture perfect, but it's perfect for us! It all started at Tupelo High School in 2006 (spring semester) in Mrs.Natasha Richey's family dynamics class. So how did we start talking you are wondering? Short conversations and laughs between us in class led to me liking him past his amazing smile that I adored. Two of my high school friends, Ebony (Willingham) Jones and Latrice Shepherd, picked up on the fact that I liked Rodrick (Rod) and questioned me about it. I smiled and denied it, but thank God they knew me. They went behind my back and told Rodrick that I liked him, and asked him did he like me. From there, notes were passed between us in class until one day Mrs. Richey threatened to read them aloud if we didn't stop. Classroom notes turned into text messages during the day and secret phone calls at night. That led to us holding hands and Rod walking me to some of my classes. So who made the relationship official? Lol, Rodrick did in a way that only he could. We were talking on the phone one night and Rod mentioned his girlfriend. With an attitude I interrupted him saying, "what girlfrie we've had some break-ups and make-ups. However, we've been blessed to grow spiritually, mature, and trust God's plans and timing for our lives. Our faith and God's timing has led us to this amazing day, our wedding day!
