Our proposal story to say the least is by far my favorite! Kevin specifically knew I did not want to have it happen in front of many people or in a loud packed place. He did the best and chose to propose on our 4th of July trip to the Appalachian Mountains in Tennessee. Not knowing this was going to happen was the best but for Kevin it made him nervous and excited. Our second day there we made it to a hiking trail named Cataract Falls which had a small but beautiful waterfall and quite a few people taking pictures so we ventured off on a side trail and that is where it begins. All day Kevin made sure to let me know we needed to bring my camera tripod and for those of you who do not know I am a photographer so I bring that for most things except this day I did not find it necessary but Kevin did so we brought it. Unbeknownst to me he wanted it for the proposal but told me it was for us to take a new profile picture. While on this side trail we found a nice spot full of green and I setup the Tripod. Now as this was happening a couple came walking past us to leave the trail and let us know a bear was seen a mile or two down and to warn us. I told Kevin we should pack up and leave but this man was determined for a new profile photo so I continued working on the setup. Right when I was just about finished setting up a family of four walked past to go further into the trail so we made sure to let the family know about the bear but the father in the family did not seem to care and said “He should be gone by the time we get there.” lol this made us laugh and feel scared for the kids! Now to the best part, with the camera all setup on self timer I walk in front of it and called Kevin over but instead he reached into his hiking backpack and pulled something out. He then proceeds to walk to me and turn, kneel down and ask me to MARRY HIM! The shock set in and I was fully taken by surprise. This man the love of my life asked me the best question in the world and of course the answer was YES! We are so beyond excited to share another memory with all of you at our wedding and we cannot wait to see you all there.
