How we met

In the summer of 2018 Heather was looking threw an old shoe box full of high school notes and decided to snap a photo for snap chat to show the huge mound that had taken over her moms living room. Not too long after she posted the photo, a message popped up from Chasen saying he too had some notes from high school. Now, Heather and Chasen had known each prior to this message due to crossing paths from his and her friends being friends in the past. So Heather thought nothing of this message and kept conversation going as friends. Couple months and a lot of messages later it was July 25, 2018 and Heather and Chasen were planning their first date. They had decided to go to dinner and throw some axes ( because that is so romantic) at Blade and Timber. After a fun filled night they planned to meet again and the rest was history!

The proposal

08.05.2021

The week of the proposal Heathers family all flew into town to spend a few days at the beach and then the weekend at Disney and Universal. August 5th started off like any typical Thursday. Chasen ran off to work and Heather had family in town so she planned to spend the day with them at the beach. At the beach Heather was talking with her mom and sister about how the family doesn't have any update photos of us all together so we decided we would get some taken on the beach and then go eat at Norwoods ( a super cool tree house restaurant Heather has been dying to try). Because Heather and Chasen were joining the family for the weekend in Orlando, they had to go and drop off Nilla to be boarded. While on the drive to drop Nilla off, Heather had made a comment about taking pictures of Jaycee and joked around about a possible proposal (being 29 she thought a wedding was never in her cards). Chasen laughed along and said "one day". They had gotten home, all dressed up and headed to the beach with both families ready to get some pictures. Walking down to the beach Heather still had no idea. She kept saying we needed to hurry and take photos of Jaycee because there was a rainbow and sailboat in the back ground. Couple photos later, it was Heather and Chasens turn... as she thought. They took a couple photos and then the rainbow really started to show. That's when it happened! Chasen dropped to his knee and did it! That "one day" finally happened. Rainbow and all.

For all the days along the way
