It started with a couple of cute, clever messages sent online and ended with a first date that lasted almost 10 hours. We met for coffee and talked until midnight when the closing coffee shop and our growling stomachs prompted us to go for burgers, where we kept talking until the wee hours. It was an instant connection!

We knew that we wanted to get married and had already been talking about it for a while so we decided to propose to each other. We picked the date ... June 11, the one year anniversary of the day we met ... and decided to surprise each other with the how, if not the when. Jamie went first, spelling out "Ryan will you marry me" using pizza, video games and beer. Ryan proposed next, setting up a trail of candles and rose petals and a sweet speech. What a wonderful day!

We are going to Universal Studios Orlando, to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! We are totally geeking out. It's going to be awesome!
