After college, Ashley used to babysit for a past professor. He kept bugging her about this guy who would be a really good fit for her and POPs (the children's theater she works for). Finally, during a production of Beauty and the Beast, Ashley was able to hire Nathan. After the week long project, Nathan and Ashley kept in touch - spending a year texting, calling and going on monthly "not-dates". Finally, Ashley plucked up the courage to ask Nathan out saying "I think we'd be good for each other". Well, spoiler alert - he said yes.

On Valentine’s Day, much to Ashley chagrin - you know, because 7 is Nathan’s favorite number.... confused? Ashley was too. Apparently 14 is divisible by 7, who knew... <facepalm emoji here>

He liked it, so he put a custom made ring on it... using diamonds from Ashley’s mother’s wedding rings which Papa had saved for her.
