What started out with a fast whirlwind week from Shasta Fair to a wedding on the coast, and Taylor refusing to go "jewelry" shopping, Chase knew he was going to have to figure it out himself. Sunday came and off Taylor went to judge a RSNC Sorting that ended up going 3 hours past the original plan. She finally made it home and although she really just wanted to eat dinner, shower and watch a movie. She was looking forward to spending sometime with Chase before he left to go out of town for work. So Chase, Taylor and Tip (the dog) loaded up and set off to Corky Harmon's in Palo Cedro. Corky was the first family friend that Taylor met and the neighboring property where Chase grew up, he knew this pond like the back of his hand. Now if you know these two well enough, you know how competitive they are and the love they share to find sheds (let's just say Taylor kicks Chase's butt when it comes to finding sheds) he calls it luck, but she still finds them first! The whole drive over there they are just talking away about their day and what they have planned this week, nothing out of their ordinary everyday conversations. And of course the topic of be sure to look for sheds, there are some pretty cool bucks that run through there. Once they arrive, Chase sets off to find the bigger row boat so the two of them, the dog and all their stuff don't have to share 6 sqft. They load everything up and push off into the water. Next thing you know, Chase gives Taylor red vines (all time favorite), he catches some fish and if you know her, she catches some weeds. At this point they are both just drenched in sweat and naturally she has to pee. Chase being the gentleman that he is, informs her to look for sheds and lets her off at the bank. She goes wandering around and finally goes pee, the air felt so nice she wanted to take her pants off but didn't think it was a good idea. She then continues to wander around for another 20 minutes or so -- bound and determined to find the first set of sheds, finally making her way down around the bend and decides she's going to take her pants off. She looks up and notices she can see Corky's bedroom window and goes oh well it's just Corky. She then comes down around back to where Chase was waiting for her, with no pants on, just her Hey Dudes, underwear and a T-shirt on. He looks up and states "Taylor why don't you have your pants on?" she replies with "Because I'm hot Chase." Chase replies "Please put your pants back on." and she says "No, who cares its just you and I out here." She then starts to walk down to get back on the boat and she notices a shed stating "Hey Chase a shed!" (in her total haha I found one first attitude), she rolls the shed over with her foot and goes to pick it up when she sees the ring. At this point Chase is on land and getting the ring off the antler. He goes to get down on one knee when she stops him to ask if she can put her pants on first. He laughingly says "yes Taylor please put your pants back on." So once she finally got those back on, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. The rest of the evening was filled with fishing, her favorite candies and catching moss, although Taylor did catch the biggest bass of the night - but more importantly they caught the loves of their lives.
