The celebration starts with guest arrival at 5:00 pm and the ceremony at 5:30 pm. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a cocktail hour and then sit down for dinner at approximately 7:15 pm. We’ll have toasts, dancing, and dessert throughout the night, with the reception concluding at 11:30 pm.
The dress code is semi-formal. You’re welcome to go all-out, but at minimum, we ask for cocktail dresses, skirts, or slacks with a dress shirt or blouse. Please avoid casual attire like jeans, shorts, or sneakers.
Please arrive to the Chicago History Museum no earlier than 5pm on Saturday! The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30.
Yes! Parking can be validated through the Chicago History Museum.
The invitation will indicate the names and number of guests invited to attend. We invite couples to enjoy a night to themselves!
Your invitation will indicate if a plus one has been included. We’re only able to accommodate guests named on the invitation. Thanks for understanding!
We have booked a hotel block at the Omni downtown. You can find more information on our travel page, where we also recommend a few hotels closer to the venue.
Transportation will not be provided between the hotel and the venue. The Chicago History Museum is accessible by several CTA bus lines (22, 36, 72, 73, 151, 156), and both the Brown Line Sedgwick station and the Red Line Clark/Division station are about a half-mile walk from the Museum. You can find more information on the Chicago History Museum's website: https://www.chicagohistory.org/visit-us/
Definitely! Guests should enjoy the Chicago Riverwalk, explore Montrose Bird Sanctuary, visit one of the city’s many museums, or sample local breweries like Begyle or Half Acre. Check out "Things to Do" for more recommendations (including the route we took on our engagement day). If you'd like more specific recommendations, feel free to reach out!
Great question! Photos on the day of engagement were taken by Nicole Defilippis, and another session was shot by our wedding photographer, Emma Petersen.
