Sam and Kiana lived across the hall from each other their freshman year of college and have been inseparable from the beginning . From hall mates to roommates to living across the street from each other in their own separate houses, they've never been far apart. They've gone on countless vacations, concerts, laughed until they cried at things that are never funny to anyone else, and even adopted brother cats! Sam's favorite thing about Kiana is that she's determined, passionate, funny, and has been the best support these last 8 years.

Lucas and Chase met at Metro State University during their junior year. Sharing the same major and passion for helping, what was initially a couple shared classes filled with inside jokes and shared homework quickly turned into a lasting brotherhood. Through life's ups and downs, Lucas has always made it a priority to communicate with Chase. Chase's favorite things about Lucas are that he is genuine, kind, hilarious, and amazing at the work he does. Nothing is ever done halfway. Most importantly, Lucas is also an awesome father to his beautiful baby girl
Peyton Duran

Peyton is Sam's oldest niece. Sam was 11 years old when Peyton was born, so in a way they grew up together and Sam is really thankful for that because P has taught her a lot about perseverance and love and how to be cool :) Sam wants to be just like P when she grows up; kind, smart, witty, and one of the biggest hearts you'll ever know.

Lynette and Chase have been friends since 2018, two human service majors celebrating a Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl victory brought the friendship together. Over time, the field of social work helped this friendship transform professionally and personally. Chase has considered Lynette his "second mom." Chase is endlessly thankful for Lynette's advice, support, advocacy, and laughs. Chase might not have survived college without her! Lynette also credits herself for this relationship for bringing Chase to the Denver Rescue mission and reminding him to wait it out because "25 would be his year"

Liz and Sam met as interns at the Denver Rescue Mission. Both passionate in pursuing social work, they became fast friends. They just got each other and spent a whole lot of time laughing over the cubicle walls. Sam had the privilege and honor of being around for Liz's engagement to her now husband Chuck during their internship and subsequent wedding in Minnesota, and Sam is honored to have Liz by her side for her own wedding. Sam's favorite thing about Liz is her determination, whit, humor, empathy and always knowing the right thing to say in a crisis lol.

High school buddies reunited at MSU Denver, Chase and Keric have been buddies sharing their love for cars, star wars, and laughs. Keric is one of those guys that will always prioritize everyone else first, his selflessness making him really easy to be around. Keric and Chase share countless memories, whether it be car event adventures or hilarious nights laughing over the old days of high school and several airsoft events. Keric just goes for it- traveling, auto crossing, and pursuing sights. Keric is one of a kind and will always be one of Chase’s favorite humans.
Aly Schultz

Aly & Sam met in April of 2017 at the Rocky Mountain Starbucks in Loveland, Co. Between 4am opening shifts and all the chaos that was working at Rocky (if you know you know) they became fast friends. Plant shopping, Target runs, puppy adoption, and belting Broadway songs in the car have sprinkled the last 6 years of friendship. Sam had the great honor of standing up with Aly in June of 2022 as she celebrated her marriage to her lovely wife (also a Starbs survivor) and Sam is SO excited to have Aly right by her side for her own wedding. Sam's favorite thing about Aly is her loyalty to the people she loves, her tenacity for life and love, and her ability to keep 150 plants alive all at once.

Two-time roommate and permanent concert bro Jake has been friends with Chase since their roomatehood at NJC. Chase was quick to think of jake for a groomsman because of countless memories at NJC, MSU Denver, and over a dozen concerts together and counting. Whether Jake is sending memes to chase or pulling him out of a mosh pit, Jake is one of the hardest working guys out there, who is constantly pursuing and showing off his dreams. Jake also has the best collection of hockey sweaters out there, having at least one jersey for every NHL team there is!!
Glenn Cheatham

Glenn and Sam are soul sisters. They met at summer camp in Denver, Colorado under unpleasant circumstances , but really never let that get in the way. Sam's favorite songs are still the ones that Glenn showed her, and a letter she wrote her still hanging on a pinboard in her office. Church and coffee, matching bracelets, Juni, cake baking, and laughter are things that all come to mind when thinking of Glenn, and Sam could not be more excited to have the honor of having Glenn stand up with her at her wedding. Sam's favorite things about Glenn are her ability to make everyone feel seen and her courage to do the right thing even when it's hard.

Chase met Nate around the same time he met Sammi, in the same office. Immediately bonding over their love for sports and helping people, Nate kept the often stressful job fun. Despite his avid and committed fandom of all things Boston Sports, Nate is such a great father, person, and hard worker. Nate is the type of guy that would run through the wall for any of his family or friends. Chase and Nate will forever share an obsession with Jersey Mike’s lunch breaks and countless inside jokes. Nate is always his true self and is the perfect example of a determined, caring person.
Caroline Kyle

Not to be cliche, but Caroline really is the sweetest. Sam and Caroline grew up in the same town but didn't meet until they were adults. They luckily became best friends upon meeting, and are currently working on making up all the time they missed out on as kids. Sam is grateful for morning porch hangs, violent games of Spot It, and Denver coffee dates that have brought her and Caroline together over the years--and is SO grateful that she gets to have her next to her side on her wedding day, too. Sam's favorite thing about Caroline is her ability to make any situation hilarious, her propensity for grace and kindness, and her fellow love for coffee and cats and art museums and boys who, like, really love StarWars.
Cory Sutton

Chase met Cory through Jake, and immediately hit it off. The first thing these two shared was their passion for star wars. Cory is a very Talented craftsman- making custom lightsabers and building insanely intricate creations with legos. Cory also works with his sweet, caring wife Abby as a florist. (Yes, they provided flowers for our wedding) Chase immediately noticed how genuinely nice and supportive cory is with everything and everyone. It is not often you find someone as authentic as Cory. Cory also has one of those laughs that will instantly put everyone around him in a better mood.
Nathan Berryman

Nathan Lee, Sam's older brother and biggest role model for the first 27 years of her life. Sam has truly never seen Nate give up on the things he cares about, and has watched him remain hardworking, steadfast, and kind through every hurdle life has thrown his way. Sam couldn't imagine a wedding day without her big brother around to celebrate right alongside her, and also to make sure nothing gets set on fire. Life would be significantly less hilarious and strange without him.

Amanda is Chases coworker at the VOA, but Sam and Amanda spent months telling Chase they "wanted to be eachother's best friend" before actually making it happen! They quickly bonded over taco lunch dates, their love for Costco, and the wild world of social services. Amanda is truly a girls girl with the biggest heart and the sweetest soul. Sam is excited beyond words to have her as part of her wedding party.
