How We Met

October 16th, 2021

We met at bar when Chase came to pick up a mutual friend of ours. She called him to let him know that she was there- and to her surprise he did not answer his phone... Nate answered, let her into the bar and the rest was history. Nate got her number from their mutual friend that night and from there we never stopped talking. What started out as a friendship, lead to a love and relationship from fairytales.

When Nate Met Raylon

Getting Approval From Her Pup

From Chase's Perspective: The first time I went over to Nate's house, I brought along my dog- a Rottweiler, named Raylon. When Nate and I first started hanging out, it was as friends as neither of us were looking for anything. I went over to visit Nate the weekend after we had met, with my dog in tow. At this point, it was just to spend time with him and get to know him- it was also for him to meet my dog. A lot of people know my dog is one of the most important things in my life- unfortunately for Nate, he didn't. Raylon and I got to the house and my first reaction was- "this man is a caveman, how does he not have a TV in his living room". Raylon must have thought the same thing, because at first he was a little wary of Nate. Raylon would tip-toe around him, staying as close to me as he could get. But as time went on, Raylon seemed to open up to Nate and even let him sneak a couple good boy pets in. This was the first sign for me, that Nate was a good guy. As time went on, Raylon and Nate began to spend more time together; in that time, I watched Nate's love for Raylon grow and grow. Nate treated and loved Raylon as if he was his own dog- that is all I have ever wanted when looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. Eventually, Nate was getting referred to as Raylon's "dad" and I've never looked back. Nate's love for my dog, is one of the many reasons I fell in love with him. Since Raylon, we have added a Pitt-Lab mix named Maxwell (aka Sausage Dog), another Rottweiler named Reiker (Smooshie, Tootie, Mr. Magooter, whatever comes out first), a tri-pod kitten named Bizcuit (full name- Limp Bizcuit), and a crazy kitten named Dobby (or Dobbert when he's in trouble) to our family and I have never looked back. I love our little family, especially the man I chose to build it with and I wouldn't have it any other way.
