Being the great hosts that they both are, it should come as no surprise that Lauren and Chase both ended up on the Elsewhere rooftop in the summer of 2019 while entertaining out-of-towners. It was at the end of the day, as the crowds were filing out, that Lauren caught Chase's attention. With enough liquid courage, Chase... approached Lauren, told her she was pretty, and followed her and her friends to the next bar. Over the next year, Chase and Lauren would survive the pandemic, start traveling together, re-activate their AMC memberships and fall in love. In the summer of 2022, after renting an AirBnB for six weeks, Chase and Lauren finally moved into their new apartment, where they would begin to build their lives together, adopt their sweet baby angel, Kona, and get engaged...

Lauren famously hates that her birthday is in the winter. Every year she debates reliving her childhood and waiting for her half birthday in August to get her friends together for cake, tie dye and Slip-n-Slide. In an effort to give lasting significance to the date, Chase chose Lauren's half birthday as the day he would propose. Lauren came home from a haircut to an apartment strewn with rose petals and tea candles, Kona in a bowtie and Chase down on one knee. The celebrating continued later that night with friends at their favorite restaurant in the neighborhood where they rented their AirBnB a year prior. And now, after two years of planning, spreadsheets, deposits, walkthroughs and too many tiramisu's to even remember, we're finally here and ready to tie the knot!
