We met in Organic Chemistry. I saw him the first day of class and didn't see him for about a month. That was because he moved to the seat behind me. My best friend Maisie kept talking about this really tall guy named Chase and that he sat behind me (literally the seat directly behind me... I had no idea). I was clueless that he was there because I was always trying to focus and understand what the heck was happening during that class. However, there was an approaching exam and Maisie had invited him to our little study session at the library for this exam. I also had a soccer game right in the middle of our study session, so I left before he arrived. When I got back to the library to continue studying there is this tall man sitting in my spot... Being polite I moved to another seat. We had the typical "get to know you banter" and slowly, but surely we developed a strong friendship.

Chase proposed on December 11, 2019... crazy to think that it was over two years ago already. Kailie had a feeling that it was happening because Chase was acting out of sorts since he got up that day and Kailie finally asked if something was wrong. He said, "No." He had been avoiding any type of conversation and basically any contact at all. Obviously she had her suspicions, however, it was very cold that day and she figured since he knew how much she detested being cold that it wouldn't happen in the freezing cold. She was very wrong. He did in fact propose to her on a very cold and windy winter day at the top of Massanutten Mountain. She of course said YES!
