We met in 2015, during our sophomore year of high school, when both of us were working backstage for the fall play. What started as brief conversations between scenes turned into longer discussions on our love for cats and board games and an eventual bond as friends. The closer as friends we got, the more inseparable we became, and the harder it was to deny our feelings for each other. We had developed such a deep connection—not only because of our similar interests but also our mutual understanding of loss and its impact on our lives—that we were able to talk to each other on topics that we could never have shared with anyone else. So, finally, on October 17, 2017, during our senior year, we started dating. Since then, we have gone on many adventures together: taking train rides to LA, hiking through National Parks, flying to different states and countries, and navigating every other situation that life threw at us. As we’ve gotten older, we’ve grown not only in our relationship but also as people, and every day, we make each other better. When we neared a milestone in the dating stage of our relationship, we knew that it was time for us to take the next step. On October 17, 2024, under a full moon, Chase proposed, and we were officially engaged. The past year has been full of so much excitement and anticipation for the rest of our lives together. When we started to plan for our special day, we realized how amazing it was to have known each other for so long and to have spent almost every day with each other in the near-decade since we started dating. October 27, 2025, will be a day that signifies our ten-year friendship and eight-year relationship and marks the beginning of a new chapter as we continue to love and grow together. We’ve conquered many challenges and enjoyed many wonders of life. We know that there are many more challenges and wonders ahead, and we’re ready to go through it all, together.
