As much as we'd love to say that we have some super romantic, dramatic, and unique love story, our story started on the dating app: Hinge. Chase had just moved to Portland, Oregon and was ready to start looking for someone to enjoy this new adventure with. He got on the app and that's where he saw the most beautiful, adorable, video-game-addicted girl he could find and asked her on a date. That girl was Hannah Bollen, a girl who had been having conversations with her mom and friends about how tired she was of modern day dating. Hannah agreed to the date, but, as Chase was leaving his apartment in Portland to meet up at a coffee shop in Salem, Hannah was talking to a close friend about how she didn't think she wanted to go on the date. This friend, thankfully, convinced Hannah to go on the date and told her later that she didn't know why but she had had a feeling that something was different this time and boy was she right! Five hours of coffee and dinner later: Chase's Perspective: "I felt giddy. This beautiful girl just sat and talked with me for hours of non-stop, interesting conversation. She loves the Lord, loves people, is SMOKING HOT and will hyper fixate on Pokémon and FPS games with me? I was sold. I needed to call my dad and tell him I just met my next girlfriend." Hannah's Perspective: "What is wrong with this guy? He seems too good to be true and looks way cuter in person. I guess it wouldn't hurt to give him a second date." In what felt like no time at all, both of us knew the direction our relationship was taking and both of us, for the first time in our lives, felt peace about that. We fell in love--despite living thousands of miles apart for the majority of our lives, and we are so in awe of how the Lord brought us together despite all odds. We have such amazing family and friends whom we love and who love us deeply, and we are so excited to have you all with us to celebrate the love that we have for each other!
