We met in a Tuesday night bowling league. During bowling we would see each other at the bowling alley bar and do shots! Lots of Shots! Finally after a few weeks he asked me to dinner. I Declined but asked if he would want to go to a yoga class, he said sure! The rest is History!
I decided to propose to Haley on the 4th of July. Months prior we went to lunch with her grandmother. While we were eating, I asked how her grandfather asked her grandmother to marry him? She told us it was the 4th of July after the grand finale. I knew that date was special and I knew I wanted to propose to Haley on July 4th! It was July 4, 2019 and I was so excited (and nervous) to finally ask Haley to be my wife. Haley's twin sister, Hillary, and her fiancé, Will, were in town. We all went out on my parents' boat to watch the firework show at Pensacola Beach. I remember feeling nervous the entire time. I was unable to get in touch with Haley's dad to get his blessing. Finally, right before we left to go on the boat I got in touch with him. I was overwhelmed with joy to get her father's blessing to ask Haley to marry me. The only thing holding me back now was the dream my sister had. She told me that she had a dream I dropped the ring overboard (thanks Britt!). During the grand finale of the firework show, I got down on one knee and asked Haley to marry me! She said YES!!!
