Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few places that are our favorite within the area!

Tawas Point Lighthouse

583-1199 Tawas Beach and Point Road, East Tawas, MI 48730

The Point Beach has a beautiful beach along Lake Huron. This park also has multiple walking/hiking trails, bird watching spots, historical Tawas Lighthouse tour, and a dog friendly beach on the bay side (between the lighthouse and campground).

Bikinis Beach Bar

300 East Bay Street, East Tawas, MI 48730

We went here for our first date. Needless to say, we had a blast! Bikini's is a beach bar & grill with live entertainment on the weekends. Cold drinks and delicious food with a view of Lake Huron! For added fun, they have beach volleyball and jet ski rentals!

Downtown East Tawas

104 Newman St, East Tawas, MI 48730

Downtown East Tawas, centered on Newman Street, is a charming, walkable waterfront district on Lake Huron’s Tawas Bay. It features unique shops, local restaurants, a bakery, a movie theater, and the Village Chocolatier, all just steps from the East Tawas State Dock. Newman Street hosts vibrant summer events like Tuesday Night Live concerts, car shows, and the winter Perchville USA chili cook-off.

Iargo Springs

5761 N Skeel Ave, Oscoda, MI 48750

Known as "many waters," the site features numerous cold springs, small waterfalls, and a 1,000-foot boardwalk, accessible via a steep 300-step stairway offering panoramic views of the Au Sable River.
