Some love stories begin with a single moment. Ours began with quiet, intentional crossings, moments that, at the time, felt small but were anything but. We met in middle school, surrounded by mutual friends, movie nights, and the kind of youthful excitement that made every glance feel meaningful. There was always something there, an unspoken connection, a mix of nerves and curiosity neither of us could explain. Even then, God was writing a story we could not yet see. As we grew older, that connection deepened. What started as a crush became undeniable. No matter where life pulled us, the Lord kept guiding us back to each other. At sixteen, when our paths aligned, we stepped into a relationship that felt exciting and unfamiliar, with two young hearts learning what it meant to truly care for one another. Like many young couples, our journey had challenges. We faced pressure, doubt, and our own insecurities. Voices around us said we would not last, that we were “just a high school relationship.” And truthfully, there were seasons it felt like they might be right. But God had a different plan. During a season apart in college, when we went a year without speaking, the Lord began a deeper work in both our lives. Distance became preparation. Through prayer, fasting, and growth, God shaped us individually before bringing us back together. After twenty one days of prayer and fasting, we received undeniable confirmation that this was the person we were called to walk through life with. Without knowing what the other was experiencing, God stirred something in both of us and reunited us. From that moment on, everything changed. We chose forgiveness, growth, and to put God at the center. As we each grew closer to Him, we grew closer to each other. God first filled our individual cups so we could pour into one another. Since then, our love has only deepened. Through every high and challenge, we have learned that with God at the center, we are always okay. One of the most beautiful moments of our journey came in Puerto Rico, surrounded by friends and family, taking the next step in our story. Months of quiet planning, prayer, and preparation became a moment that felt like heaven, fully covered in God’s presence, love, and peace. Today, we stand not as a perfect couple, but as a testimony of God’s grace. We are best friends, partners, and soon to be husband and wife, committed to growing, building, and walking through life together. We love to travel, dream big, take risks, and build a life rooted in faith. But most of all, we are committed to honoring God in our marriage, loving each other with patience, sacrifice, forgiveness, and grace. If our story shows anything, it is that love rooted in Christ is not fragile. It is refined, strengthened, and made deeper with time. What we share is more than love; it is deep adoration, a daily choosing, and a bond that grows richer through every season. We have seen each other at our best and lowest, and yet, by God’s grace, our love has grown stronger, more patient, selfless, and intentional. We do not just love; we truly delight in one another, and that love deepens in ways we never thought possible. We are living proof that what God ordains, He sustains. Even in moments of brokenness, uncertainty, and distance, He was faithful and working behind the scenes, shaping a love stronger than we could have imagined. As we look ahead, we do so with full hearts and a deep sense of purpose, excited for the life we are building together. We know there will be new seasons, new challenges, and countless blessings, but through it all, we will continue choosing each other, growing together, and building a marriage rooted in love, faith, and unwavering commitment. The best part of our story is not what we have already lived, but everything that is still to come.
