He didn't know it then, but the events of that day would forever alter his life. She walked through the doors, excited to start her new position. She wore a flowy pink dress with her hair framing her delicate face. As she took in her surroundings, she saw many new faces. He slowly looked up from his papers; a slew of notes and orders. There she was, as beautiful as a star-filled night, standing in the entryway. Immediately he felt it, that flutter, a skip of the heart. She found her desk and began to settle into her space. He knew the time had come. He felt something and needed to move. He turned around and introduced himself. "Hi, my name is Chase." For a moment, she couldn't find the words. Instead, she felt it too, that flutter and skip of the heart. A few seconds pass and she regains her composure and responds. "I'm Ashlie. It's nice to meet you."
