Community support is such a meaningful part of our lives, we wanted to highlight the Disability Community Resource Center, where Alessia works and advocates for people and youth with disabilities. For Alessia, this work, has become far more than a career. It is a deeply personal mission rooted in the belief that every young person deserves dignity, opportunity, stability, and the chance to build a future where they feel seen, supported, and valued.
Through advocacy, peer support, independent living services, transition assistance, and community-based resources, DCRC helps individuals and families navigate barriers that too often leave people isolated or without support. Seeing the impact of these services firsthand has profoundly shaped our perspective on the importance of compassion, inclusion, and community care.
