FAQs

The Wedding Website of Savannah Gill and Chase Dorsett
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

December 8th But the earlier you know the better :) We recommend booking lodging and travel soonest as it’s a busy time in Key West during this time

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Being there is the greatest gift you can give us! So please don’t feel obligated to get us a gift in addition to all the expenses to get to Key West. For those that want, we’d appreciate any help towards our future honeymoon!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

I would recommend coming an hour or more early to walk around the park and visit the actual Fort if you love history. My brother (Jim) will be playing some mood music before so please feel free to come early and enjoy the scenery and catch up with old friends and family or new ones!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Beach Dressy (sundresses, cocktail, slacks, button ups, suits/ties if you'd like, but totally optional)

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We might have to play it by ear as we get closer to the date to see if we have room. Unfortunately, we are limited by the Fire Marshall in our reception room at Mangoes upstairs. But if you and your date are flexible with hanging around the standing cocktail table, then we may have some more flexibility there.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course, but please give me a heads up so we can plan accordingly. We may need your flexibility with seats at the reception.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Not yet. The chain names nearby are Sheraton, Waldorf Astoria, Hyatt, Fairfield. I would recommend renting a house though as they seem like the more affordable options. Air BNB, VRBO, Trip Advisor, Booking.com, Hometogo. Please look at lodging early as this is a popular time.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at Fort Zachary Taylor Park, however, I would recommend Uber or Lyft to get you there as all cars must be moved out by sunset when the park closes. Also, we are planning to have the Conch Train take guests from the ceremony site to the reception. Street parking (mostly pay) is available near the restaurant.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We would like to have a welcome meet up the evening before to share a beverage and catch up with everyone! Will let you know details so hope everyone can get there before Friday at 6pm.

For all the days along the way
