Black tie optional. For men, you can wear a tuxedo or other formal attire, such as dark suit with a shirt and tie. Women should also wear formal attire, however it does not have to be solely floor-length gowns. Knee-length cocktail dresses, a pantsuit, or dressy separates are also great options. There will be a short walk from the ceremony location to the reception on Spruce Point Inn's property, so please plan your footwear accordingly.
Garden Party Attire. For women, summery dresses or skirts, sandals, wedges, prints, florals, and pastels are encouraged! Similarly for men, feel free to break out that colorful button down you've been hiding in your closet. Light colored jackets! A fun tie! The possibilities are endless. Need more inspiration? The temperature ranges from the 50's/low 60's in the mornings & evenings to the 70's during the day. Early fog is not uncommon on the coast of Maine which sometimes makes the mornings feel more chilly (and magical!), but as the afternoon wears on and the sun often burns the fog off and it can feel quite warm. On June 17th last year the high was 77° and the low was 58°.
We are thrilled that you are coming to celebrate with us—and that's the best gift of all! However, if you're looking for wedding gift ideas, please visit the Registry tab on our website. You can have gifts delivered to our home through the Registry website, which is preferred, as we will be traveling with limited space from our home in North Carolina to Maine.
