We met in the most unexpected place, at work. As nurses working night shifts, our paths crossed one evening when I was floated to his unit, and what started as a simple conversation in the middle of a busy shift quickly turned into something neither one of us expected. Between long nights, shared laughs, and quiet moments in between the chaos, we found ourselves drawn closer and closer. What began as a friendship then grew into something much deeper.
