Ryan and Charlye both graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2020. In 2019 -- before their senior year -- they were coworkers for a summer program for incoming freshman. On the last day of that program, all of the student workers made a plan to sneak atop University Hall -- the largest building on LMU's campus -- to watch the stars in celebration of the end of the program and the beginning of their senior year. Strangely enough, every single student worker (some of whom are reading this message now) failed to show up...except for Ryan and Charlye. Still willing to celebrate together, they climbed atop U Hall and spent hours talking. The rest is history.
