We met the way couples normally do these days - we both swiped right! After sharing our most recent embarrassing moments and connecting over shared interests, we met for our first date at Mavericks Cantina in Alpharetta, Georgia on September 8, 2021. The evening was filled with fun stories, laughter, and best of all, tacos! One year later, we returned to Mavericks Cantina to celebrate the best first date ever.
Ethan proposed on Christmas morning, 2022. Ethan had spent several weeks prior designing the perfect ring and planning the perfect proposal. On Christmas morning, we sat around the Christmas tree preparing to open gifts, when Ethan insisted I open my stocking before I opened anything else. At the bottom of my Christmas stocking was an ornament of an engagement ring in its box with "2022" inscribed. The second I looked over, Ethan was bent down on one knee, asking me to marry him!
We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with all of our family and friends! We are incredibly grateful to have this opportunity to share our big day with those who have made an impact in each of our lives. We chose Monroe, GA as the location for our wedding as it is the place in which we call home, and it means the world to us to be able to share our "home" with all of you!
For our honeymoon, we have planned a cross-country road trip covering several big landmarks along the way. We will drive straight from Georgia to the Grand Canyon, spend 3 days hiking and camping, then make our way west to California to visit Sequoia National Park. After 2 days in California, we will head back east, stopping in Las Vegas to visit Gordon Ramsey's many restaurants on the strip. From Las Vegas we will travel to Colorado for several days of hiking the Rocky Mountains. Along our venture home from Colorado, we will stop by New Orleans for a day or two of visiting the D-Day Museum and feasting on beignets.
