Travel & Stay

The Wedding Website of Charlotte Bloemen and Simon Lucas
What is now a hotel and winery was once a prosperous farming village on the slopes of Monte Amiata over 400 years ago. The ancient name of the village was ‘Le Casacce’, which is now the name of this place near Seggiano in the province of Grosseto. Here, where the Val d'Orcia merges into the slopes of an ancient volcano (Monte Amiata), lies the Podere Montale estate with its own winery and agriturismo resort with 18 hectares of vineyards and old olive trees. In addition to wine, olive oil also plays an important role here – as you stroll through the borgo, you can admire very old olive trees, one of which is around 2,000 years old. Spending a weekend here at Podere Montale means enjoying wine and local delicacies in peace and relaxation while admiring the beauty of Tuscany.
