It all started back in March 2020 at George’s restaurant. Ryan was out for drinks with his mortgage advisor (who just so happened to be Charlotte’s mum - Anne Marie), and Charlotte was invited along to join. Ryan thought Charlotte had her head screwed on (oh, how little he knew!), while Charlotte immediately thought Ryan was incredibly attractive and just her type. We started with a casual conversation, just getting to know each other, not really thinking it would go anywhere. But soon after, Ryan messaged Charlotte on Instagram asking about working from home, and the messages never really stopped from there! After all the messaging, Ryan made the first move and suggested a walk down the canal. Despite the COVID restrictions, we spent hours walking and talking—effortlessly, with time flying by. It was during that walk that we shared our first kiss, and that’s when we both knew this was something special. As things gradually grew deeper, Ryan took the plunge and asked Charlotte to be his girlfriend while they were watching Love Island. It was sweet, casual, and perfect. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Charlotte and Ryan spent their days discovering new things about each other, sharing hobbies, and making the most of the challenges of COVID together. Whether it was baking together, binge-watching series, or taking long walks, it was clear they were building something that was meant to last. They laughed, they grew, and they supported each other through every twist and turn life threw our way. Then came the big moment at Grantley Hall—the place where Ryan proposed. It was a complete surprise to Charlotte, with balloons, music, and a lot of emotions in the air. As he asked her to spend the rest of his life with him, Charlotte cried with joy. They are so excited for the future—spending every day together, laughing, growing, and making memories as they embark on this new chapter of their lives. I'm sure Ryan will cover off so much more in his speech, so we'll leave it there for now...
