FAQs

We'll be updating this page with additional FAQs closer to the wedding. Be sure to check back once formal invitations are sent out!
Question

When do I RSVP?

Answer

No RSVP is being requested at this time. Formal invitations will be sent at a later date which is when you will submit your RSVP notice. Until then, hang tight and save this date!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our special day! Dress code is formal attire. Gentlemen are advised to wear a suit and tie (or tux if you're looking for a reason to wear it!) For ladies, floor length dresses are preferred, but if you feel more comfortable doing a midi or cocktail dress, please do! We ask that you please avoid wearing jeans, khakis, sneakers, T-shirts, and casual wear.

Question

Where should I park during the wedding weekend?

Answer

For the ceremony, our church (Assumption Catholic Church) will have 2 hour free garage parking available at 311 W. Illinois with church validation. The church is also a quick 5 minute uber ride from our hotel blocks. If you are staying at a hotel, we recommend utilizing their valet parking, or downloading the SpotHero app to find nearby parking options. (SpotHero is known to be more cost effective).

Question

What if there are no more rooms available in the hotel blocks?

Answer

We will be doing our best to monitor the room availability within our blocks and continue to add on as many rooms as the hotels allow. If the block fills up, we recommend to also look outside the block as there are many nearby hotel options that you may find at similar rates.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

To keep our guest list manageable, our wedding will be limited to children of immediate and close family. If your children are included, their names will be listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and hope this gives everyone an opportunity to relax and celebrate with us!

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

We wish we could celebrate with everyone, but unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests due to limited space. We can only accommodate those formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as {Your Name} and {Guest} if a plus one has been provided. We appreciate your understanding!
