Our Story

Meg and Charlotte met at Drew University in New Jersey, living on the same floor freshman year. They bonded quickly over their shared experiences as camp counselors in Maine, extensive sweater collections, and a love of indie music. They were even groupies for Alt-J! In college they were fun-loving pranksters who loved costume parties, weird art projects, and exploring New York City's art and music scenes. Meg started as an English major, but watching Charlotte have so much fun in the art department, she decided to switch and join her. After college, they found their way to Portland, Oregon, drawn by its funky art scene, expansive horse world, and environmental stewardship. Their careers are driven by their passions: Meg is living her dream working with horses; Charlotte has fallen deep into food justice work and bespoke craft/design. Locally they love wandering the Oregon coast, exploring the tiny wine towns of the Willamette Valley, and savoring everything Portland has to offer. A shared love of travel has taken them from studying abroad in Florence and six months backpacking Europe to India, Thailand, Indonesia, Belize, South Korea, and beyond. At home, life is full of whimsy: a quarter dozen kittens, a regal lab named Kate, two goats, and an abundance of horses. But their happiest moments are with their friends and family!
