Question

Answer

About 1hr to 1hr 15min with normal traffic.

Question

What should I do in between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

This gap of time is from 12:30pm - 3pm. NOT CAMPING: Feel free to explore, grab some lunch or rest! Julian is one of our favorite little towns nearby to Cuyamaca Peak with great places to eat , cute shops and wineries! Or you can head to our favorite lunch spot “The Pub” overlooking Lake Cuyamaca! IF YOU'RE CAMPING: you will use this time to set up your camp in our 20 car site. Or move your camp to this site.

Question

When can I start setting up to camp?

Answer

12:30pm on Tuesday is when we’ll be able to enter the 20 car site.

Question

How long is the campsite available for use for campers and non campers?

Answer

We have reserved the campsite from Tuesday 12:30pm - Wednesday 6pm. Feel free to come visit and hang any time during this window!

Question

If I want to camp Monday or Wednesday night, can I book a campsite?

Answer

Yes! It will be a different site than our 20 car site we rented for Tuesday night so you'd have to move your camp during the 4 hour window we provided between the ceremony and reception. You can book through this website: https://lajollaindiancampground.com/

Question

What activities are there to do at the campground?

Answer

There is a bike park (w/ bike rentals), zip lines, water park, hiking trail and more! Check out the campground website for more info about activities. https://lajollaindiancampground.com

Question

If I do not want to hike to the ceremony, is there a way to drive up?

Answer

Unfortunately, no! But we're working on trying to hire a park ranger to shuttle to those who are unable to walk. This is no guarantee and may only be available to our immediate family. We will have photos of the ceremony at the campground for those whom opt out of hiking! Please know this mountain peak means a lot to us, as we can see it from our house! We want to be reminded of our roots of SD when we tie the knot and forever on in the future!

Question

Are there restrooms at the ceremony or receptions?

Answer

Ceremony - there are only restrooms at the parking lot, none at the top of the mountain. Reception - there will be honey buckets provided by the campground!

Question

Which meals and beverages will you be providing?

Answer

We will be providing appetizers and dinner at the reception along with beer, wine and hard seltzers (until it runs out)! You can also enjoy a hair of the dog brunch the morning after from us too!

Question

What is the weather like at the campground?

Answer

During the day, expect 80s and at night expect as low as 60s!

Question

Will there be camping chairs and tables at the campground for us?

Answer

Yes! We'll be providing but if you have extras, please bring them and let us know in your RSVP how many you'll be bringing of each!

Question

Where to stay before/ after wedding/ reception around San Diego?

Answer

If you want to make a vacation out of our wedding, we can help with advising places to stay in San Diego before and/ or after our celebrations. Just reach out with enough time to book. The weekend before our wedding is Labor Day weekend, summer prices will still be in effect. Off-season prices should begin at most hotels/ resorts in San Diego the day after Labor Day.
