FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. Feel free to arrive at the site anytime between 3 pm and 4 pm. For those spending the night at Whispering Springs, you will be able to check into your tent at 3 pm and get settled before the ceremony.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not officially! We want everyone to feel comfortable, so wear whatever makes you feel best. That said, we’d love for folks to dress up a little (e.g., skip the jeans and flip flops). We know you'll look great!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Children will be included on your invitation, and we are very happy to welcome them to celebrate with us.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be outdoors. The reception will be under a covered pavilion :)

Question

Will there be parking available?

Answer

Yes, there will be ample parking space available for all of our guests.

Question

How can I get there if I don't drive?

Answer

We know it's not ideal for non-drivers to get out to the woods. There is a decent transit option, though - you can take the train (Via Rail) to Coburg Ontario, which is a nearby town. From there, it's about a 25-minute Taxi/Uber ride to the venue.

Question

Is there anything extra I need to bring?

Answer

The most important thing is you! We'll have the food and drinks covered. You can bring the fun :) For anyone staying overnight, you can think about bringing your toiletries, a warm layer in case it gets cold at night (the tents aren't heated), a cot if you have a small kiddo (there are daybeds available in some accommodations for adults or bigger kiddos), and pjs! The tents have varying levels of amenities. Whispering Springs has a helpful FAQ for anyone booking glamping accommodations. We've dropped a link to their page in the Helpful Links section.

Question

Can I bring my own tent?

Answer

Unfortunately not - Whispering Springs is zoned and operated as a resort, not a campground. According to the local bylaws, we are not allowed to have guests pitch and stay in their own tents on the property.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

Unfortunately not - as you all know, we love all animals! But sadly Whispering Springs cannot accommodate furry friends. There will, however, be horses on site if you would like to have some time with animals :) There is also a kennel very close to the property, called Tucked Inn Kennels.

Question

Is there cell service?

Answer

We have been told that cellular reception isn’t the strongest in this little corner of the countryside. But hopefully, you'll be having enough fun that it won't matter. You can always send us your photos and videos later!

Question

When and how can I book my tent/cabin?

Answer

We will be in touch with instructions as soon as the accommodation booking is open. For now, please just confirm on your RSVP whether or not you would like us to reserve a tent for you :)

Question

Will you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We would (truly) prefer no gifts. After many moves across the country (and world), we have realized the importance of reducing our "stuff". We promise, we have more than we need at home already! We feel so blessed that you're choosing to spend this time with us, and we know it's a huge effort to come out. Your presence is, genuinely, what we would love most as our wedding gift. For those of you who absolutely insist on bringing something, we have put together a small list of things that would fit our home. We will link this list under the "Helpful Links" page.

Question

Who should I reach out to if I have additional questions?

Answer

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to Charlotte at cklhobson@gmail.com or Marcus at marcus.lomboy@gmail.com. Or if you have our numbers, feel free to send us a text!
