What Time Does The Wedding Start?

Answer

The doors will open for guests to arrive at 4:15 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Kindly arrive on time and plan to arrive early enough to settle in before the ceremony begins. If you wish to stay close to the wedding venue, we have curated some hotel suggestions under the “Travel and Accommodations” section.

What Is The Dress Code?

Answer

Cocktail Wedding Attire - please wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable! The venue includes coat closets for your layers and the flooring is hardwood for your dancing shoes! If you choose to visit the Van Dusen Garden prior to the ceremony, please plan your footwear accordingly.

Is There Parking At The Venue?

Answer

There is a free parking lot located directly in-front of Shaughnessy Restaurant. The parking lot is shared with Van Dusen Garden. There is a special event happening at Van Dusen Garden on the weekend of our wedding. This means that the traffic in the surrounding area and the Garden parking lots will be busier than normal. If the parking lots are full, there is free street parking on W 37th Avenue. If you wish to leave a vehicle overnight, you will not be able to leave it in the Garden lots. It will need to be parked on W 37th Avenue.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We absolutely adore your little ones, but due to limited seating and space, we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adult-only event.

Will meal choices be sent out before the wedding?

Answer

No need to choose ahead of time! You’ll be able to pick your entrée from the restaurant’s menu on the day of the wedding. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know by February 20th, 2025!

Is The Wedding Indoors Or Outdoors?

Answer

Indoors. The ceremony will be held within the restaurant’s covered patio. Cocktail hour will be served within the restaurants covered patio and foyer. Dinner and dancing is in the main dining area.
