Charlotte and Jose met in the late summer of 2018 as they both began their freshman year at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Charlotte was a member of the women’s soccer team, and Jose played on the men’s baseball team. Through the university’s athletic community, the two quickly crossed paths and became part of the same friend group. During their first year of college, Charlotte and Jose spent much of their time together, going to parties, taking weekend trips, supporting each other at games, and making memories with friends. What started as a strong friendship soon began to blossom into something more. By the following year, that solid foundation turned into a loving relationship. Charlotte and Jose continued dating throughout the rest of their college careers and, after graduating, moved to Augusta, Georgia. There, they began building a life together, living in their first apartment, travelling, and spending meaningful time with friends and family. On the morning of April 6, 2025, Jose completely surprised Charlotte by proposing during a walk along one of their favorite spots by the Savannah River. It was the perfect moment and the best day ever!
