Makena Beach/ Big Beach
This is one of our favorite beaches. Jamil loves to come here early in the morning with his body board and catch waves. If the waves are big you can watch the surfers from the shore. When the waves are small you will find crystal clear glistening water. Also great for morning runs!
Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman - Wailea
Our # 1 go-to restaurant! We absolutely love the atmosphere, food and drinks here! We suggest coming for happy hour and ordering EVERY app on the menu along with a Mai tai.
Po‘olenalena Beach
Past the Makena surf resort you will find a yellow gate and a dirt and gravel open lot. Park here and walk towards the ocean. In front of you is a beautiful beach. This will not be your final destination. Instead you will walk towards a little path on your right. It is an easy walk over a small hill with a cut out pathway from the vegetation, and over some rocky points. You will get to a much more secluded beach. This is where we love to take our dogs early in the morning. Don't be alarmed if you see some nudes!
Nalu's South Shore Grill
This open-air gem is great for fresh food and a casual dining experience. Don't miss out on the chicken and waffles with a delicious cocktail!
Ulua Beach Park
A great place to snorkel! The winds in maui pick up by 10-11AM so we suggest coming early for crystal clear waters. Snorkel by the reefs and find different fish and tons of turtles. The gate opens at 7AM and there is ample parking.
Azeka Food Trucks
Is everyone undecided on what to eat? Off of Pi'ikea Dr. you will find a parking lot with tons of food trucks and many options. Whether you want ceviche or wings they have you covered! Our favorite trucks are: Wing Kings and Kitoko.
