We’re so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you.
Buffalo Trace Distillery
113 Great Buffalo Trace, Frankfort, KY 40601, (502) 696-5926
Kentucky is known for its bourbon. This is the longest continuously running distillery in the US and the tours and tastings are free. Needless to say, we have toured this distillery three times!
Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill
3501 Lexington Road, Harrodsburg, KY 40330, (859) 734-5411
This old shaker community is beautifully kept and has something for everyone to do. Bonus: it's only minutes away from the wedding venue.
Town Branch Distillery
401 Cross Street, Lexington, KY 40508, (859) 255-2337
We have to tip our hat to good ol' Alltech! It is proudly the only distillery on the Bourbon Trail that is also brewery.
Sav's Chill
289 South Limestone, Lexington, KY 40508, (859) 255-2445
Fantastic ice cream for a hot July day. It is also where we went on our first date!
Kentucky Native Café
417 East Maxwell Street, Lexington, KY 40508, (859) 281-1718
This is a beautiful beer garden in the heart of Lexington. We have always loved this place for its unique food and drink and one-of-a-kind atmosphere. We also went here on the night of the proposal.
