Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, as well as suits and cocktail dresses.
We recommend staying at The Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Spa which is about 15 minutes from the venue. They have very spacious rooms, on property golf course and spa, and a pool/hot tub. Some of the rooms also have hot tubs on their patios, and the property is dog friendly! Please see the “Travel” tab for booking. ACCOMMODATIONS: If you need an accessible room, please inform Gold Canyon when booking. The property is VERY hilly and most rooms have stairs, but they have a section of rooms that are wheelchair/handicap accessible.
Gold Canyon's guaranteed check-in time is at 4PM, which is unfortunately right around the time of the wedding ceremony. When booking, you may request an early check-in, however this is not guaranteed. We encourage guests to stay at the hotel the evening prior to the wedding to avoid any mishaps. If you're planning to arrive to Phoenix the day of the ceremony, Gold Canyon is happy to store your luggage before you have access to your hotel room.
Uber / Lyft are not reliable means of transportation in the area of the venue. Gold Canyon Resort offers a shuttle that will take guests from the hotel to the venue, then back to the hotel at the end of the reception. Please take advantage of this service for the night as we want all of our guests to have a great time, and get home safely. If you are not planning to book a hotel room, we recommend carpooling and designating a driver for the evening.
While we love all of the littles in our lives, our wedding will be a primarily 18+ event. The venue is open to the surrounding desert and children can easily wander off. Please adhere to the invited guests listed on your invitation and we thank you in advance.
We appreciate all of our friends and family that would like to attend the wedding; however, our venue has strict head count policies and we will only be able to accommodate the guests listed on your personal invitation. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
The ceremony will be outside and the reception will be mostly inside. The Paseo building has large double doors that open to an outside bar and the cocktail hour area.
The average high in Phoenix in November is around 80 degrees with an average low of 60 degrees. The venue is in a more secluded area of the desert and will cool off as the sun goes down. We have visited the venue at that time of year and it’s very comfortable, but we recommend bringing a light sweater if needed.
Our dinner menu includes both a chicken and beef option that will be available to all guests. Special accommodations can be made for food allergies and intolerances - please reach out to the brides if this may apply to you.
