Eric and I met at, well let's just say a mutual friends birthday party. I've never been a big believer in "love at first site" but when Eric walked through the restaurant doors for his friends birthday I knew instantly that he was going to a part of my life in someway. Skip ahead a few weeks later and we went on our first date to the Flying Saucer, which I promptly told my mother after the date that I was going to marry him..... I WAS RIGHT!
While watching the 2018 superbowl a commercial for Norwegian Cruises came on, Christine, my soon to be sister-in-law, decided that we needed to go on a cruise. Eric and I had never been and had always wanted to go on one so we promptly agreed! As the dates of our cruise got closer I started hoping that Eric would propose on the trip. Now grant it I had been hoping he would propose for the last few years on numerous occasions, so this was really nothing new. Days went by on the cruise and I had decided Eric wasn't going to propose, which I was okay with cause Christmas was around the corner and thought he might do it then. So on our cruise we had two fancy dinners planned. After our first one we all (Adam, Christine, Eric and I) went to the back of the boat to take pictures. Each couple got some great shots and then we went on with our night. A few days later we had our second fancy dinner then proceeded to the back of the boat to take more photos. Me completely oblivious to everything goes to the back of the boat and pose for my pictures. Well come to find out the first round of pictures was a trial to see if it was going to be too windy or loud at the back to propose! As I stood there waiting for my picture to be taken Eric got down on one knee and asked the question I'd been waiting for since our first date.... WILL YOU MARRY ME? Obviously, I said YES!!
