There are a lot of good places to go Portos- portosbakery.com Cuban bakery serving favorites like cheese rolls & potato balls in a small, lively space. Magnolia Park is a great street with many mom and pop shops along with eateries. Magnolia Blvd between Hollywood Way and Victory Blvd. Sotta - Mediterranean Dog Haus - Hot Dogs Poquito Mas - Mexican Chick-fil-A Cafe Olla - not sure but there is ALWAYS A HUGE LINE must be good Downtown Burbank on San Fernando Blvd is another great walking area with tons of shops and lots of good food. Many new restaurants, Asian, American, Hawaiian, Indian, Japanese, Tendergreens . a couple blocks long.
Curt would say you Have to go to Philippes the Original in Downtown. About a 15 min drive from burbank in downtown LA right off the freeway. French Dips and they are great! DONT FORGET TO BRING YOU VAX CARD or you can't get in. I would say, you have to go to C&Os in marina del rey. Best pasta in LA if you ask me. The Cucina is open, not the trattoria. And of course there are some lovely restaurants on and around Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills, if you're looking to drive that far.
Try the empire center just a few minutes from the Burbank airport if you came that way, or most likely about 2 miles or less from your hotel. There is a Target, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, Wal-Mart and Best Buy. Also a Lowes, but if you need something from there let me know because I'm super curious. Also a bunch of fast food and krispy creme while you shop. You can also head to Glendale to the Glendale Americana or the Glendale Galleria which are right across the street from each other. Parking at either is easy access to both. Americana has more high end brands, Galleria is more standard except the 3rd floor which is Hugo Boss, Bloomingdale's, Ted Baker , Michael Kors, Coach, etc.
